Green Fungi was formed on the ideas of divinity and spirituality with the sole objective of creating a connection with nature and karma to support the agrarian and artist community, as well as Self Help groups (women empowerment), in reaching new heights of prosperity. Given that agriculture contributes 14% of India’s GDP, we can combat food scarcity and create a better future with the right knowledge and guidance.
We started exploring Agaricus Bisporus, also known as button mushrooms, in 2020, when the world was in ruins due to COVID-19. This fascinating plant has many wellness benefits and is a good source of antioxidants, minerals (potassium and selenium), and vitamins (B and D).
We sold 300 kg of mushrooms at the local market as part of a pilot project located in Uttrakhand, which helped us grasp the basics of framing, audience tastes and reactions to our product, and how nature shapes our seeds. It was a brief voyage full with surprising discoveries and insights into the future.
At Green Fungi, we engage in cold storage farming, often referred to as controlled framing, and produce organic goods for everyday use, from confections and milk products to staple foods, vegetables, cereals, spices, fruits , medicinal plants and aromatic plants ( dehydrated /powder forms of these products) our extensive collection includes organic produce.
Additionally, we provide certified training to rural communities, giving them access to a wealth of knowledge and encouraging sustainable agriculture and tourism ( spiritual and weekend tourism) which benefits them by bringing in extra revenue.
In addition to frames, we organize annual cultural events that offer tourists and school children in form of picnic and one day corporate seminar, providing an enjoyable and fascinating experience. Our goal is to make our guests’ stay as unforgettable as possible by giving them the connection to the origins and serenity they sorely seek.
